Sarah Tyrrell

Veterinary Nurse

RVN

Sarah started her career in veterinary nursing in 2007 as a nursing assistant, working in a referral veterinary hospital. With a love of animals and a passion for patient care she trained at Mysercough School of Veterinary Nursing in Preston and qualified in 2010. It was at the same hospital that she progressed through a variety of nursing roles, varying from working as a clinical coach mentoring students to senior theatre nurse; assisting the vets with the referral orthopadeic case load, organising all orthopaedic equipment and monitoring the more challenging anaesthetics. Working her way through all senior levels she went on to work as Head Nurse, running a team of over 15 nurses for 5 years.

Sarah Tyrrell is delighted to have joined Arthurs Veterinary Specialists to focus on her passion for surgical nursing; she particularly enjoys scrubbing into advanced orthopaedic procedures and nursing these patients.

Outside of work Sarah loves to do outdoor activities with her family such a kayaking and bike rides. In her spare time she also enjoys pilates, long countryside walks and cooking.

Sarah has an 8 year old cat, Barnaby.
